RULES AND REGULATIONS
A. PERMITTED PLAYERS AND ENTRY FEES:
1. All players must be bona fide students currently enrolled in class 7 to 10 in the educational institution they are representing.
2. All players must be verified by the head of the concerned educational institution in the format provided. (Annexure 1/2)
3. In case of any doubt / complaint regarding the bona fides of players, the decision of the tournament committee shall be final and binding.
4. Entry fee per participating school shall be Rs 3000/- (Rupees Three thousand only) payable to the Treasurer, Lighthouse School.
5. Entry fee of Rs 3000/- (Rupees Three thousand only) is inclusive of both Boys and Girls Teams.
B. PLAYERS NOT PERMITTED :
1. The following categories of players are not permitted :
(a) Ex Students (HSLC passed out students)
(b) Students enrolled in other schools
(c) Class 11 and 12 students
2. In case any players listed above are detected, the concerned team will forfeit the tournament fees, and be disqualified from the tournament.
C. NUMBER OF PLAYERS AND UNIFORM JERSEYS :
1. Every team can have a maximum of 11 (eleven) players of which one must be a goal keeper and 5 (five) substitutes.
2. 6 (six) players are required on the field for the game to proceed.
3. All players of a particular team must wear the same colored uniform with Jersey numbers.
4. Team list with Player Jersey numbers, (e.g Number 10 - Mangboi, etc) is to be submitted in the proper format (Annexure 1/2)
5. Any player or substitute whose name is not included in the Team list (Annexure 1/2) cannot take part in the tournament.
D. SUBSTITUTES:
1. 6 (six) substitutions are allowed during the normal course of play.
2. Substitutions can only be made with the knowledge of the referee.
3. A player once substituted cannot return to the field of play for that particular match.
E. DURATION AND TIMER:
1. BOYS - 45 minutes per match (20 + 5 + 20).
2. GIRLS - 35 minutes per match (15 + 5 + 15).
3. Lemon break will be of 5 minutes duration.
4. Teams are entitled to a one-minute timeout in each period.
F. REPORTING TIME :
1. Playing times will be scheduled in the weekends and late afternoon / evening for minimal disruption to normal classes. (2 to 5 PM)
2. All times will be in IST (GMT +530)
3. Teams are to note their match fixtures carefully and report to the match officials at least 15 minutes before play begins.
4. Any team failing to report to the match officials 15 minutes before the scheduled start of play will forfeit the particular match.
G. FOOTWEAR:
1. Only plastic / rubber molded boots or astro-turf trainers are allowed.
2. Boots with metal studs are strictly prohibited.
3. Inspection of players footwear is mandatory before entering the field.
4. Team Managers / Officials are to ensure that metal studs are not used by any of their players.
H. REFEREES AND RULES OF PLAY:
1. A pool of referees will be created from among the participating schools.
2. Participating Schools are to nominate 1 (one) teacher each to join the referee pool.
3. The pool of referees will NOT officiate matches involving their respective schools (e.g KT vs Elite will be officiated by PMA, etc)
4. All playing rules as specified by FIFA (Futsal-Laws-of-the-Game-2022-2023) will be applied including :
(a) Off sides (LAW 11) - “There is no offside in Futsal”
(b) Fouls and Misconduct (LAW 12)
(c) Free Kicks (LAW 13)
(d) Penalty Kick (LAW 14)
I. LEAGUE AND KNOCKOUT ROUNDS : 1. League stage Points : WIN = 3 / DRAW = 1
2. Top 2 teams from each pool will advance to the knockout stages on the basis of points and goal difference.
3. In case of a tie at the end of normal time in the knockout stages, extra time (5 + 5 minutes) and penalty shootout will be applied.
J. PRIZE MONEY AND AWARDS :
1. Champion and Runners up will be awarded a Trophy each (Boys and Girls)
2. Cash Prize will be announced after finalization of fixtures and participating teams.
3. Prizes will also be awarded for : Best Overall Player, Best Disciplined Team and Top scorer. (Boys and Girls)
4. Champion and Runners up Trophies are to be returned to the Organizing committee within 1 (one) month of the award.
5. In case a team wins 3 Champion Trophies consecutively, they will be awarded a Replica of the Original Trophy to keep permanently.
