FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What is the main aim of the tournament?
ANS : To foster talent, understanding, healthy team spirit and competition among our school community, and in memory of one of the pioneers of education in our community.
2. Do we need to send both boys and girls teams?
ANS : Yes, because both boys and girls fixtures will be planned accordingly.
( e.g. KT vs PMA (boys) will be followed by KT vs PMA (girls) on the same date)
3. I want to send only 1 team (boys / girls). Is it permitted?
ANS : No. You need to send both boys and girls teams.
4. Why do we need to send a girls team?
ANS : Why not?
5. Do we need to pay separate entry fees for boys and girls teams?
ANS : No. Entry fee of Rs. 3,000/- ( Rupees Three thousand only) covers both boys and girls teams.
6. Why do we need to nominate 1 teacher for the referee pool?
ANS : To ensure fairness, we must NOT officiate matches involving our respective schools
(e.g KT vs Elite will be officiated by PMA, etc)
7. How will the pool be decided?
ANS : Once the number of participating schools are finalized, we will call a meeting and decide the pool by lottery. If number of participating schools are less than 10, we will schedule a league with the top 4 teams advancing to the knockoput stages.
8. We are coming from Haipi / Keithelmanbi. What happens if we are late for the match?
ANS : We will grant an extra 15 minutes to teams from Haipi / Keithelmanbi provided that they call us beforehand.
9. Why only Recognized Private Schools in and nearby Kangpokpi DHQ are invited?
ANS : Since it is the inaugural tournament, we plan to conclude it within a week, for minimum disruption to our classes and schedules. We will gradually scale up the next editions of the tournament to accommodate more schools.
10. How many students / supporters can we send?
ANS : We can accommodate up to 150 persons in the seating gallery.
11. Are HSLC 2023 appeared candidates permitted to participate?
ANS : Since it is the inaugural tournament, we will permit them so that they don’t feel left out.
They are to be recorded as Class 10 students.
